CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2009 SCHOLARSHIP WINNER!

Katherine O’Connor is the recipient of the 2009 Christopher R. Howell Memorial Foundation college scholarship. Katherine is a 2009 graduate of Kirtland High School and plans to attend The Cleveland Institute of Art this fall. She would eventually like to pursue a career as a medical illustrator, museum curator or work for a bio-tech company.

Katie has impressed many with her fortitude and dedication as she challenges herself to achieve both in and out of the classroom. She is a dependable team player with a passionate, inquisitive nature who doesn’t mind stepping out of her comfort zone to accomplish her goals while embracing a strong optimism for the future. Her inner strength and sense of compassion are an inspiration to others.
