The Christopher R. Howell Memorial Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors of Kirtland High School who have demonstrated strength of character and a desire to succeed both in and out of the classroom. The Foundation was established as a memorial to Christopher R. Howell, a Kirtland resident whose unconditional love and compassion for children left a mark on all who came in contact with him. Chris passed away in 2001 at the age of 38.
